Blossom
Blossom
In May the blossom hangs in clusters
Heavy on the Almond trees
Foaming and frothing like spun sugar
Sweet as candy floss in soft fondant pink
Looking good enough to eat.
I walk through the archway of laden branches
Almond blossom suffuces the air with it's warm glow
Rose-tinting the day, flushing my skin,
Like wine, Rose', I feel unreal, surreal,
Intoxicated by the beauity of May.
My spirits rise under it's dome of riotous blossom,
Blushing like a young bride at a Spring-time wedding,
And I know that whatever life throws,
However black it grows, I'll always be,
Hopelessly in love, captivated,
Uplifted by nature at Spring-time.
